DELTA POSEIDON - Seizure
Delta Tankers can confirm that the tanker, Delta Poseidon has been released today by the Iranian authorities. This is very good news and we are grateful to all those involved with securing this release.
The crew are well and pleased to be on their way after many months.
Delta Poseidon was travelling southbound through the Persian Gulf, en route from Basra, Iraq to Agioi Theodoroi, Greece when she was seized by Iranian forces on Friday, 27 May 2022.
Delta Poseidon is currently proceeding to Fujairah anchorage for necessary inspections before resuming onward passage to her final destination (Agioi Theodoroi).
DELTA POSEIDON (IMO: 9468671), is a 157,380-dwt tanker, built in 2011 and registered in Greece.
